Accessibility statement

Accessibility in modernGP Navigator

This statement reflects the implementation status in the repository on April 19, 2026. It summarises what has been remediated, what is still being manually checked, and where users can report problems.

Accessibility commitment

modernGP Navigator is designed for GP practice teams working under time pressure. The service is being remediated against WCAG 2.2 AA so the core receptionist, audit, and admin journeys stay usable with keyboard, zoom, and assistive technology.

What has been checked

Automated axe-core checks run against the public login and privacy pages plus authenticated triage and admin routes. Sprint 9 also adds skip links, live-region announcements, error summaries, labelled date controls, non-colour warning cues, and a print-safe triage summary.

Known limitations

Manual NVDA and VoiceOver verification still requires named human sign-off. Until that check is complete, this statement should be treated as an implementation-backed draft rather than a final independent accessibility attestation.

How to get help

If you find a problem using the service, contact your GP practice or product owner with the page, task, browser, and assistive technology involved. Accessibility issues should be triaged alongside clinical-safety and privacy defects.

Current assurance status

The public statement is live, but the final screen-reader sign-off and moderated usability evidence still need named reviewers. The remediation log and usability pack in the assurance docs should be updated when those checks are completed.
